Pool Ready Sewing Camp June 2-5

Encourage your child's creativity this summer while allowing them to learn a new skill. Sewing is a hand-on activity that teaches focus, patience, and a skill that will last a lifetime. During our beginner-friendly Pool Ready Sewing Camp, your child will have the opportunity to sew their own beach bag, reusable snack bags, a wet bag, and a water bottle sling. This class will meet Tuesday-Friday, June 2-5 from 2-4 PM each day. 

Your child will need:

• Beach bag: 1 yard of a main print (canvas or "outdoor fabrics" work great for this project). Optional: you child may choose to add a lining to their beach bag. If so, they will also need another 3/4 yard for the lining. 
• Water bottle sling: 1/2 yard of quilt cotton for the "main" print, and a 1/4 yard of quilt cotton for an accent print.
• Snack bags: (2) 1/4 yard pieces. This will make 2 snack bags. (100% quilt cotton works great for dry snacks. Oil-cloth works well for wet snacks such as grapes or carrots.)
• Wet Bag (For Swimwear): 1/3 yard PUL fabric.  (You can find this in the utility section of the fabric store or in the cloth diaper section if your store has one.  It is soft like fabric on one side and has a shiny waterproof layer on the other.) ¼ yard of main fabric, 1/8 yard of coordinating fabric and a 9” all-purpose zipper

This camp is for children ages 8-13 and is a beginner-friendly session. Enjoy early-bird pricing through March31. Class enrollment is non-refundable. Make up dates are not available for missed classes. In the event that your child is unable to attend their scheduled camp, class fees may be transferred to another camp if notice is given at least 48 hours prior to the first day of camp.
