Intro to Sewing Summer Camp July 13-16

Is your child interested in learning how to use a sewing machine? If so, then this camp may be for them. Your child will learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine, learn how to measure and cut fabrics, and create their own, one-of-a-kind projects. Students should bring their own fabrics. The supply list is provided below. All other supplies are provided. 

When: Monday-Thursday from 2-4 PM

Where: Sparkle & Stitch Studio

Who: This camp is for children ages 8+ who are new to sewing. 

Projects and Supply List:

• A simple pillowcase (you will need 3/4 yard of cotton or flannel for the main part, and 1/4 yard for the "trim" of the pillowcase)
• A drawstring backpack (1/2 yard of a main print for the outer, and 1/2 yard of a lining fabric)
• A stuffed animal: 1/2 yard of fleece or flannel. Solid color works best. For example, brown for a dog, pink for a pig, etc. Additional colors will be available for adding details. Stuffing will be provided for this project.

Please, no early drop-offs or late pick-ups.

Students should arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to the start of their class time and should be picked up no later than 5 minutes after the end of their class period. Enrollment is non-refundable. 

Students may bring a water bottle to class, but please do not send food, juice, or soda.
